TheApprenticeBlog.com for SALE

Have you ever thought:

"Hey, I could do a better job than this 'Lex' chick"

Well, given my crappy job this season, you are probably right.

AND Now is your opportunity to show your stuff.

Buy TheApprenticeBlog.com on eBay

You can make TheApprenticeBlog.com  your very own.  With separate blogs for all 5 seasons of Donald's Apprentice and even the 1 season of Martha's Apprentice.  I'm even throwing in the remaining typepad hosting, which will give you the ability to host and launch an unlimited number of blogs until January 1, 2007.

More details on eBay, but I wanted to post this part here:

Community:

While TheApprenticBlog.com has not been updated regularly in the last season, due to the same personal reasons I am selling it now, there is still a very active fan community which requires only minimal support to keep them coming back, commenting, self-moderating and adding their own content to the blog.  In fact, one season I was cut off from technology for the final 4 episodes, TheApprenticeBlog.com community kept things rolling without missing a beat.

Of course you are feel to do what ever you want with the url and the blog once you own it, I ask that you respect the great community and people that already participate on TheApprenticeBlog.com.

If it's so great, why am I selling?

After writing and maintaining the blog for 5 seasons, I am uninspired.   Rather than hire someone to maintain it, or continue to let it slip downhill, while cashing the google checks, I'd rather sell it and let someone else take advantage of the leg-work we've done to establish TheApprenticeBlog.com as a credible authority on The Apprentice over the last 2 years.  It's also perfect timing if someone on the West Coast wants to take it over as the series heads west for it's 6th season.

I have no idea who's going to end up buying TheApprenticeBlog.com, but I hope one of you guys will consider it.  You've all been a part of building it, you should get to reap what reward may come.

I'll put up one more post when it sells, but before that I want to thank you all for the great ride, comments and enthusiasm.  You've made it fun, educational and kept me on my toes.

The Apprentice Blog - Season 4

It has started.  The new seasons of The Apprentice, and thus the Apprentice Blogs are up and rolling.

On Sept 22st, Donald launched the 4th season with a fitness challenge that had both the men (team Excel) and the women (Capital Edge) sprinting across a golf course to find a helicopter. I'm not sure how this demonstrates business acumen... but I'm not Donald.  Each team then worked with a Bally Total Fitness location to run a set of classes.  Excel focused on signing up existing Bally customers, and Capital Edge focused on getting people in from the street.  Excel won by $11 proving again that one person can make the difference. Capital Edge went to the boardroom with lots and lots of drama.  Kristi, the PM, took only one person with her to the boardroom - Melissa.   Melissa was fired for pissing off every single member of her team in one short task.

The Apprentice Blog::Martha's Apprentice

It has started.  The new seasons of The Apprentice, and thus the Apprentice Blogs are up and rolling.

On Sept 21st, Martha started the ball rolling with a book development task that had the creatives (team Matchstick) vrs the corporates (Primarius).  Each team created a kid's book - rewritting a fairtale and having it illustrated and bound.  The test was reading it to a focus-group of kids.  Primarius rewrote Hansel and Gretel in rhyme with the kids sneaking out of the house into the New York streets. Matchstick did their own version of Jack and the Beanstalk with Jack going down under the sea rather than up. Matchstick won, and their book is now available from Amazon. Primarius lost and their PM, Jeff, was fired for taking on too much and not listening to his team when they pointed out big flaws in what he was doing.

Apology

Due to a family emergency I have been isolated on a remote island alone since the end of November.  (Seriously, I couldn't make this up if I tried.)

Since I have been off-line, off-shore and off-the-grid I have been unable to keep the site updated.  However, I am enroute to civilization, technology and hot showers as I type this and The Apprentice Blog will be ready to roll for Season 3 momentarily.

Thanks for your comments and your patience!

For those of you interested, I had a digital camera and here's what it looked like Watching The Ice Form

"My military experience will really help me."

Fired

  • Jennifer M - Fired 17th PM:2 BR:2/14
    Jennifer M.
"I have my training under my belt after being an attorney for five years, and I'm ready to get into the business world."
  • Sandy - Fired 16th PM:2 BR:2/14
Sandy"Mr. Trump wants a young entrepreneur who is feisty and tough and would fit into his organization. I think I'd be a perfect fit."
  • Kevin - Fired 15th PM:2 BR:2/14
Kevin"I'm the smartest and most talented and most qualified. This is a job interview, and job interviews are about getting the best candidate."
  • Ivana - Fired 14th PM:2 BR:7/13
Ivana"I'm an intersection of personality, brains and sass." --- Many people say it should have happened sooner, but Ivana got fired for losing too much, and for taking of her skirt for a sale.
  • Andy - Fired 13th PM:2 BR:3/12
Andy"Solutions that really drive companies come from younger people." --- The Pepsi Challenge one would think the youngest would have the Edge. But not this time. Andy's debating skills were lost when it came down to street-fighting and that's why he got fired.
  • Wes - Fired 12th PM:2 BR:2/11
Wes"The Trump organization needs someone with balance, which I have." --- In Episode 11 Wes delegated and defered too much responsibility, and when things started going wrong he sat back and waited for things to straighten themselves out instead of standing up and getting everyone back on track.
  • Maria - Fired 11th PM:1 BR:3/11
Maria"I try to keep very positive and make sure I'm not tearing down the very people I need to get the job done"--- Maria has been at risk for quite some time now. Episode 11 was just an intensified version of the strikes against her: mismanagement of time and resources, fighting with her team and mis-interpretting the clients needs.
  • Chris - Fired 10th PM:2 BR:1/10
Chris"[Trump] has a lot of people working for him with deep pedigrees, and sometimes you need somebody who's going to give you a different angle." --- Chris saw the writing on the wall - "lose this challenge, get fired." Once the Episode 10 challenge was announced he saw failure and couldn't shake it off.
  • Raj - Fired 9th PM:2 BR:2/9
Raj"It impressed me very much to see the caliber of my competition. But I'm better." >--- Raj, Raj, Raj. Chris handed you his head, and Trump pointed it out. In Episode 9, Raj need to be more cutthroat and was fired because he left himself open for it.
  • Elizabeth - Fired 8th PM:2 BR:2/8
Elizabeth"This show seemed like it was made for me, like everything I've done prepared me for this moment." --- Elizabeth waffled her way right into the boardroom inEpisode 8. In a room full of type-A personalities she couldn't, or wouldn't, make a decision and stick with it.
  • Stacy R. - Fired 7th BR:3/7
Stacy R."Give me a task, and I will make it my own and do the best job that could possibly be done." --- Episode 7 was Stacy R's 3rd visit to the boardroom. It was finally time to take her to task on why she was constantly pointing fingers and complaining rather than stepping up and fixing things.
  • John - Fired 6th PM:1 BR:1/6
John"I have a drive and competitiveness that I don't think people are going to see in a lot of the other candidates." --- John, John, John {sigh}, you really should have known better. In Episode 6 John got fired for playing the game and not running the business.
  • Pamela - Fired 5th PM:2 BR:2/5
Pamela"I'm much more qualified, far better looking, and a little bit taller, I think, as well." --- In Episode 5 Pamela got swapped back to the women's team, Apex, and placed in the PM role. Trump was obviously testing her and she failed. By $10, but she still failed.
  • Jennifer C. - Fired 4rd PM:1 BR:2/4
Jennifer C."Whether it be my personal or my professional life, I work on a very high level of challenge." " >--- In Episode 4 Jennifer C. wasn't able to pull the women together. Infighting and making the boardroom personal is what got her fired.

  • Stacie J. - Fired 3rd BR:2/3
Stacie J."I'm not used to losing." --- In Episode 3 Stacie J got the boot that was aimed squarely at her Episode 2 She didn't have what it took to face down a united front against her, get someone to say something stupid, or turn Trump onto someone else in the boardroom. All else aside, Trump fired her for not being able to play the game.

  • Bradford - Fired 2nd PM:1 BR:1/2
Bradford"Winning, to me, is everything. That's what I do." --- In Episode 2 Bradford confidently gave up his hard-won immunity. Ivana chose to bring him into the boardroom with Jennifer C. and Stacie J. Trump fired him for making an impulsive, high-risk and unnecessary decision.
  • Rob - Fired 1st BR:1/1
Rob"As long as I make sure that I'm conducting myself in a businesslike fashion, everything else will fall into place." --- In the first episode, Rob went to the boardroom with Pamela and Andy from Mosaic.
