Donald really did not give a reason for not hiring Kwame. I cannot imagine Omarosa stunts could have been the only deciding factor but I always expected Bill to win since Kwame is not
a business developer.

The main reason(not only) that Bill was hired over Kwame was simply that Bill is much more of a take-charge kinda guy...which is what Trump is looking for.

Whilst Bill ran around looking a little like a beheaded chicken, he'll learn to kick back and do a little less micro-managing. On the other hand, I think it's much more challenging to infuse "laid-back" kind of person with the energy and drive needed to be a good leader. You micro-manage until you're confident you don't need to...you can't successfully start out as a macro-manager without avoiding more frequent mistakes. Just my opinion.

You would almost hope there would be a runner-up in a contest like this; if anything, Kwame should've been given points for dealing cooly with Omarosa instead of the wild man she wanted him to be. There wasn't anything especially striking about Bill's leadership, his style was just as tedious and annoying as Amy. If anything, Kwame brought a distinctive style of leadership that will probably earn him much more than $250k. For that responsibility, I would've expected at least $500k.

Kwame should have fired Amorosa or at least taken away her responsibilities. I don't think he should have picked her for his team in the first place but he probably would have ended up with her anyway. I think his assignment was much more difficult than Bill's. The Taj Mahal staff seemed pretty incompetent. Even if you don't know the exact time of a breakfast, the room should have been set up ahead of time and the banquet manager knows this. Also, who was communicating with Jessica Simpson's staff before Kwame got there. Travel arrangements weren't just made that day. Trump is having trouble with his casino's; he should be firing that staff.

I don't get the timing on this. It looks like the golf tournament happened last fall (the trees had leaves, and they were changing color, and http://www.trumpnational.com/celebrity_golf.html gives the date as October 25). If that's the case, did they really make these guys wait 6 months to find out which one had won?

Yes, there was a six month gap between filming and awarding. Google for Jessica at the Taj and you'll find that the dates were around her anniversary last Oktoberfest.

The definition of success for Kwame was Keeping the talent happy from the time they landed onwards. He, and his team, did Sweet F All. Nada. Zilch. They failed miserably.

Kwame's a great guy, but he did not deliver the goods. There was no choice but to award the gig to Bill. And Bill and his team did do an amazing job, all things considered. Go Bill!

All, we need to stop busting on Omerosa, I recently found out that most of her lie's, deceit and antics are not her fault, see has been diagnosed with a rare medical condition called Anal-glaucoma. Symptoms are simple: SHE CAN'T SEE HOW STUPID HER ASS IS ON TV. With that said, if Omarosa is looking for entertainment work, recommend the MTV show JACKASS, I would love to watch her being pushed in a shopping cart out into traffic or pushed off the roof of a building on a skateboard...

Kwame, you did a superb job, unfortunately with Omerosa on your team, it could have never been good enough, she screwed you big time with her lies and antics and made you look somewhat foolish with Mr. Trump by disappearing with Jessica Simpson and not monitoring her radio... Kwame did an excellent job, with the team he had. He was very smart in picking Omerosa early to avoid her having an attitude, but he should have left her in charge of keeping the bathroom clean instead of logistics! I give Kwame much respect for the way that he handled her because everyone wanted to see "The Angry Black Guy" which never came out, and that shows that Kwame is the right guy for the trials and tribulations of corporate America. There are back-biting, deceitful, leeches at every job. Most of the time, you can't fire them! So he tried to show the best way to handle difficult people. He should have fired her or sidelined her, but in reality, that's almost never an option.

Hey, well i think Mr.Trump hired the right person. BILL ROCKs! and i hope well for all the rest of them.

Personally, I really would have liked Amy and Troy to become the two finalists. I believed that they were the stronger contenders of them all...but I must admit, there was one strongest contender who I thought would had a chance of winning if only she didn't put herself in this predicament as an overrated, treacherous villianess...you've guessed it... Omarosa. For a woman who is attractive, supposedly refine, well-educated, highly-intelligent, career-minded, and successful, it's ashamed that she portrayed herself this way and got fired for it.

Well, anyway, congratulation to Bill! I am so happy for you. You did it! He may have cracked just a little bit, but he pulled it off fabulously throughout the entire time. The hiccups to me where very much described as his "passion and desire" to win which he strongly displayed it more than Kwame's. That's why Mr. Trump chose Bill. Fair and square. Well done, Bill. I believe you'll do a great job. Just minimize the hiccups and you'll be phenomenal.

I agreed that Kwame would have been an excellent apprentice because of his nonchalant performance, but if he really wanted to win, he should not let anything or anyone like Omarosa stand in the way of his victory. Even if he didn't have the luxury to fire her, he should have tossed her on the side where she can go solo and not cause anymore problems for the rest of his team. By keeping her was not only a "faced down" in front of his team but the respect and loyalty from his team may not have been the same.

I agreed with Kwame that management is delegating more than micromanaging, but a situation like this called for was necessary. My advice to Kwame: You can't always depend on your staff's expertise to do the job for you especially when they are unreliable and incompetent. If you are short staff and want to succeed, you have to think outside of the box and get your hands dirty.

Bill did alot of micromanaging even though his team were a little upset with him, but he didn't care. He wanted to make sure everything was done properly even if he had to go out there and do it himself. He checked and doublechecked the work of his team 100 times which was a little too much but...he was determined. His strong ambition and drive had really overpowered and outshined more than Kwame's.

i think the reason why kwame didnt win, was because of amrosa's way of thinking, she is a failiar in many aspects, she gets into people skin to get her ways and which are all in different angle. The best for kwame was not to pick amrosa's big lips into his team. with her crooked face. i think the winer should be based in integrity and how to handle difficulties, kwame had more qualities of success over bill. but he brought his street smart first into a multi billion buisness, apart from that he is a legend. Bill never saw anything from him apart from having a good last minute support.

Exactly. The way I see it, is that this contest was Kwame's to lose. He should have stepped up to the plate and out and out fired Omarosa, and Heidi too. With just him and Troy, they should have gotten some replacements to do their actually pretty simple jobs. And even if Kwame didn't think that he had the right to fire Omarosa, he should have done it anyway. That (and a successful event) would have won the contest.

About Carolyn - she was all over Kwame's case without much apparent reason. I think she even implied Kwame picked Omarosa out of favoritism . The feeling I get is that Carolyn seems to be some kind of gatekeeper to keep out women and minorities. To his credit, Bernie preferred Kwame over Bill.

The way the selection was set up, was that with Bill chosing first, and short of Bill making the colossal blunder of picking Omarosa himself, she was always going to end up on Kwame's team. Whether as a pick or as a leftover.

The only question was what Kwame was going to do about it. To his credit I will have to add that if he had fired her, he would have been one person short, but considering we're talking about Omarosa, that would still have been a better alternative. She isn't just incompetent. She has proven over and again that she will deliberately sabotage whatever team she is on. Kwame would have had to hire someone else to just watch Omarosa. He should have just fired her, and in not doing so, he lost the contest. Just the act of firing her would have put him up several notches in Trump's esteem. What's the catchphrase of the show? "YOU'RE FIRED!".

Having said that, Kwame was up against it. With or without Omarosa, he would have been one person short. He had the biggest challenge, but if he could have pulled the task off, he would have won.
