Project Mgrs: Katrina– Versacorp, Troy - Protégé
These choices, while solid, certainly surprised me. Katrina was an obvious choice since she is the real estate expert. However, since each team had a member who hadn’t led, it seemed obvious that they would be on deck whether they were qualified or not. But good call on the “not”, since Heidi had the family issue to deal with and Tammy, well… Tammy is Tammy.
Summary:
Yet another team shuffle - Protégé snags Amy to even out the number. She is becoming the belle of the ball.
Bernie was back – I assume due to a continuation of George’s big deal from 2 weeks ago.
Troy and Katrina “negotiated” for which apartment each team got to renovate. “Negotiated” equals a coin-toss by the Realtor Primarily because neither Troy nor Katrina were willing to say what they wanted first. (standard rule of negotiation…)
Troy got the funkier place, Katrina got steaming mad.
$2000 to renovate and $2000 to furnish an apartment in 72 hours, advertise it’s availability and to have it rented before 5pm the last day.
Katrina got a contractor for $1500 to redo the bathroom & kitchen in Versacorp’s apartment including installing new cabinetry.
It seemed like Versacorp had a lot more potential renters, and swarmed them.
Katrina delegated the role of renter to Bill. With everyone else focusing their energy on getting people in to see the place.
Both teams came down to the wire with Versacorp’s tenant coming in the door around 4:15pm, and Protégé, who had given up renting the place, had their tenant walk in at around 4:50pm.
Winners: Protégé – they rented the $1200 apartment for $1525. Versacorp rented the $1500 apartment for $1650.
Reward: A picnic and day hanging out at Trump’s home in Bedford.
3 in Boardroom: Katrina, Bill, Tammy
Fired: Tammy Lee
Boardroom antics:
After the results were in Katrina attacked Troy as being unethical, and pretty much said he broke the rules.
Trump responded that she was just duped. Which created a back and forth of Katrina saying she’d “never been duped” and Trump saying he had, and was pretty sure she had too.
Tammy piped up “We were duped” – which shocked everyone.
When Versacorp came back to the boardroom, Carolyn challenged Katrina on why she didn’t negotiate the rent but delegated to Bill.
Trump questioned why Tammy would say her team had been duped.
Bill was pretty much left alone by the Trump people.
After that, Katrina defended the lose by saying she spent most of her energy handling Tammy.
Protégé gossip:
Amy’s back – again. She is the only person who has never lost a challenge. But she’s got to find it frustrating to be bouncing back and forth between teams. Will this make her more adept at sticking around, or will it make her a target when people start realizing that they are competing with everyone around them all the time.
Trump showed a compassionate side by having a conversation with Heidi, without the rest of the team there, to ask if she had to withdraw. Heidi handled herself very professionally given the emotional situation.
Omarosa got hit on the head, fought a headache, called meetings and played basketball while everyone was working… This can’t be good for her long game, especially in such stark contrast to Heidi’s suck-it-up approach.
Versacorp gossip:
Well I guess my question last week - Anyone else think Tammy is almost worth throwing a challenge to get rid of? was close enough!
Nick & Amy are now on different teams – now I see how there maybe some impact on the game if these two continue what they started last week. Since there was nothing obvious in this arena this week, next week should bring a bit more steam based on Trump’s earlier comments.
